Rain Crow Ranch is a 4,000-acre working cattle operation in South Central Missouri, owned and managed by us, Mark and Patricia Whisnant and our family.
We produce grass fed, natural beef by growing our cattle on forage with no grain, hormones, or antibiotics. This grass fed beef is marketed directly to the public via our website

The ranch is located in the rolling hills of the Southern Ozarks. This picturesque setting is dominated by oak forest land, interspersed with open pastures. Creeks lace through the hills and a multitude of stocked ponds dot the landscape.
In the early 90’s we began to intensively manage the ranch for quality whitetail deer. Paying attention to food sources, mineral supplementation, and harvesting age we began to see remarkable improvement in the quality of our whitetail deer.
At the same time, we switched to archery hunting. In an effort to further improve the quality of the whitetail available . . . 1500 acres of the ranch were placed under a high fence.
2001 marked the first year that a limited number of hunts became available behind the fence. Our hunters experienced tremendous success.
