Any bow hunter will tell you that success comes with great attention being paid to detail, hours of practice, and honing of your skill. Yet, another very important factor cannot be overlooked, luck.
Bryhn came to Raincrow having prepared as an archer to take a trophy whitetail if presented the opportunity. After having hunted a couple of times without success, the guide wanted him to hunt a new stand that he felt had a lot of potential.
Bryhn had become familiar with the area and listening to directions felt it would be better to walk in to the stand himself. Fortunately, Bryhn got lost and didn't find the intended stand.
Instead, when he did get to a stand he decided it best to go ahead and use that location. This outstanding whitetail buck came within bow range and Bryhn successfully claimed this 170 class buck.
